Heights FIRE STATION & Marmion Park

A Historical wedding and private event venue

WELCOME TO H.H.F.D. 14

Nestled 4 miles from downtown Houston at Yale and 12th Street, the last remaining municipal facility from the era when the Heights was its own city, lies the original Houston Heights Fire Station No. 14. Built in 1914 as a public meeting building, City Hall , fire station, and even a jail, during a time when Houston still relied on horse drawn fire wagons. In 1918, It was renamed to Station Number 14 and would remained so until 1987 when it was permanently decommissioned.

In the early millennium, The Houston Heights Association voted to save the building and restore it to its former splendor. The H.H.A. had the building repaired and installed vintage carriage style doors in homage to the horse drawn carriages of the early 20th century, when the corral was located behind the fire station.

What Clients Say

I LOVE THIS VENUE!

It was affordable compared to others and you could do all the food/alcohol and deco however you wanted. I am in the food business so we brought in all of our preferred caterers, flowers, cake people, DJ we wanted etc. If you want a venue who will list it all out for you this place may not work for you but be prepared to pay way expensive somewhere else. The venue turned out beautiful and I loved how I could do my ceremony down stairs then reception upstairs. You get 2 visits beforehand to work on your layout and also have the venue from 9am-2am. Follow all rules on the agreement and you will get your deposit back. Easy as that.

Great Historic Venue.

It is a lot of DIY, but that was what I did for most of my wedding. I had a wonderful experience with the Houston Heights Fire Station association. I did hire someone to clean- up afterward (the assocation recommend somone) and I did recieve my entire deposit back.

Fun Venue

Fun venue for a small wedding or event located right in the middle of the historic Houston Heights. Two story venue may be challenging for those with limited mobility, but there is an elevator that is used for these purposes. The parking lot is smaller but I won't take a star away just for that.
